Design
The front look is amazing and remember us the grill of Jeep Cherokie. The main highlight in the design of this vehicle is this grill with chromium finish. Mahindra says, Tank is the inspiration behind this design. Although it is a box design,they tried to eliminate that feel of the vehicle as well as possible. The rectangular shaped airdam and the squared chromium surrounded fog lams are brings a outstanding look for front. The head lamps are of static bending facility which gives proper lights as per steering rotates. Beside this, an additional feature is follow me which provides lights for a seconds after shut down the vehicle. Wheel arches and shoulder lines and big tyres are brings up a bold look at side view. The B.C pillers of mat black gives a moving feeling because of the inclination of that towards the rear of the vehicle. The spare wheel is attached to the back and providing a muscilar look. It has a ground clearance of 191 Nm which is more than that of their Scorpio. Thus foot boards are provided.
Interior
Everyone wil be surprised when get into the TUV. Standard is incresed than their other models. Wind and lights can easily get inside the big cabin. The satin silver finish at A.C vent, steering, door handle, gear knob are providing a clean class look for interior. There is necessary cup holders and map pockets at door pads and betwen seats. The 12 v power sockets provided near center console can be used by back seat travellers. The height of driving seat and lumbar support of both front seats can be adjusted. The audio control buttons are placed in multi spoke steering wheel and the plastic quality is good. The leg space and head rooms are perfectly arranged. It is drawback that no A.C vents to the back rows.
Engine/Ride
The engine which drives the TUV is 1493 cc mHawk80 3 cylinder. It is the updated variant of engine of Quanto. The maximum power can be produced by this engine is 84 bhp at 3750 rpm and maximum torque of 220 Nm at 1500-2250 rpm. The power is comparitively low but no compromise in performance. A two stage turbo charger is used, it provides a sudden acceleration during ride. The insulation become more better eventhough a slight noise in the cabin. The micro-hybrid technology used in Scorpio is also accommodates with this vehicle for increase the fuel economy. The double vishbone suspension is provided at front and multi axle type at rear, gives a shake deleted smooth drive. EBD and double air bags for safety is also accommodates with the high variants.
