Design
Cross is considered as premium cross over segment of Maurti. The selling will done by special showrooms which is named NEXA. The nexa is continuing without more touch with sporty look. We can see that at front, only the projector head lamp is the variety in this car. The black wheel arch extension,skid plates,the day LED lamps and 16 inch alloy wheels bringing a hard cross over look to this vehicle. But the grill is not providing road presence. The wiper is of automated,ie;the wiper wil automatically start working while raining. The aluminium skid plates which is below the black cladding at side and front. The ground clearance is of 180mm.
Interior
S cross hided the wonders at the interior of this vehicle. The 7 inch touch screen is placed on the hard blacked dashboard and thus it provides a sporty feel. The adjustable steering wheel consists of Audio and call control buttons and cruze control buttons. In the caseof fit and finish Maruti jumping to germen technology from their earlier level. The silver finish on the steering wheel and centre console exibit that. The seats are of sporty,especially for the thigh support. At back a good leg room can be claimed.
Drive
S cross is only available in diesel models, 1.3L and 1.6L. The 1.6L model at 1700-1800 rpm will attain the same power of 118 horses. This biggest engine of maruti gives 320nm torque at 1750 rpm is same as Scoda Superb,Mercedes CLA class,Audi A3. It’s enough for attain 100kmph in 11.3 seconds. The slight non co-operation with third gear of engine can be improve. The main speciality of this vehicle is high stability than early models of Maruti.
